Your personal data
Writing to niecastellon.com through a form or by email means sharing some personal data with us. Here is what we receive, what we do with it, and the rights you keep over it.
The data a message carries
Two fields are required: your name and your email address, so that we can reply. Optional fields: a phone number, the country of your passport, the procedure you are thinking of, and a few lines about your case. Our server logs when each message arrives and the IP address that sent it, to filter out automated spam.
What we use it for
We use your data to answer you and, if you ask for our help, to work on your file together. The legal bases are the steps you request before any contract, and our legitimate interest in protecting the forms against misuse. Your data is never used for advertising, and never sold.
Who else may read it
If you ask for help that a partner firm provides, we send your request to that firm for that purpose only. Our hosting and email providers process data on our behalf, under contracts requiring them to keep it safe. No public authority receives your data unless you ask us to send it, or the law requires it.
How long your data stays with us
A conversation that goes no further is deleted once it no longer serves a purpose. When we work on your case, your file stays with us as long as the law requires for this kind of service, and is then deleted.
Your rights over your data
The GDPR lets you access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and receive it in a format you can take elsewhere. Write to write@niecastellon.com and we reply within the GDPR’s deadline. If you believe we have not respected your rights, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, Spain’s data protection authority, can receive your complaint (aepd.es).
