Our approach
NIE Castellón works on its own, as a private service: we prepare NIE, green certificate, TIE and padrón procedures with foreigners in Castelló de la Plana and across the province, in plain English.
People come to the province for very different reasons: a contract with a tile maker in Vila-real or Onda, a harvest season in La Plana, a job at the port, a degree at the Universitat Jaume I, a flat by the sea in Benicàssim or Peñíscola. Whatever the reason, the same counters and the same forms are waiting for them.
Our part is the preparation. We find the procedure that fits, fill in the forms with you, help you pay the 790-012 fee, look for an appointment and check the folder before you go. Tax, labour law and the legal state of a property are other professions; when your question belongs to one of them, we tell you plainly and say which kind of adviser to see.
We are not connected to the police, to the State’s Oficina de Extranjería or to the Ajuntament de Castelló, and our pages are not official documents. Every procedure we describe can be done by you alone, directly with the administration, and then the official fees are all you pay.
How a case is handled
- Your case, not a general list. We begin with the passport you hold and the reason you are here. The form, the fee box and the office follow from those two facts, and you read nothing that does not apply to you.
- Spanish and Valencian, explained. Many of our readers use English as a second language. We keep sentences short, and we explain each Spanish or Valencian word, from cita previa to padró, the first time it comes up.
- Checked at home, not at the desk. Each document is held up against the procedure’s requirements while you are still at home, where a missing copy costs a trip to the print shop rather than a new appointment.
- Honest about our place. We are a private service. The Policía Nacional, the Oficina de Extranjería and the Ajuntament decide; we help you arrive prepared, and we tell you when a question belongs to a lawyer or a tax adviser.
What this catalogue is not
NIE Castellón is run privately and answers to no public body. The Policía Nacional, the Subdelegación del Gobierno en Castellón with its Oficina de Extranjería, and the Ajuntament de Castelló neither run this site nor endorse it. We have no say in their decisions and cannot make them faster. These pages inform; they do not give legal advice. Every procedure stays open to you without us; then only the official fees are due.
