Booking a cita previa for the province of Castellón
You book the cita previa for free on the administration’s website: pick Castellón as the province, then the trámite (procedure) that matches your form, and keep the confirmation, which names the police address. Cita previa means an appointment booked ahead, and every foreigners’ procedure in Castelló needs one.
Send us your case The form opens on CS-103
01The booking path
- Open the cita previa page for foreigners’ procedures on sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es, the administration’s online office
- In the list of provinces, choose Castellón
- Choose the trámite (procedure) that matches your form
- Read the information screen, then go on
- Enter your NIE (or your passport number if you have no NIE), then your full name, letter for letter as in the passport, and the country of your nationality
- Pick one of the offices, dates and times on offer
- Confirm, and keep the confirmation with its code
02Each form has its trámite
The procedures carry Spanish names that change now and then, so read the list slowly. Form EX-15 (the number alone) pairs with the NIE procedure. Form EX-18 pairs with the certificate for EU citizens. Form EX-17 pairs with the fingerprints for a TIE card, the toma de huellas. Form EX-19 pairs with the card for an EU citizen’s relative.
With the wrong procedure, the officer may not be able to help you that day, and you start again. If you are not sure, ask us in writing before you confirm.
03Plaza Teodoro Izquierdo or Calle Río Sella?
policia.es gives the same list of foreigners’ procedures for two police addresses in Castelló: Plaza Teodoro Izquierdo 6 (Brigada Provincial de Extranjería y Fronteras) and Calle Río Sella 5 (Comisaría Provincial). No official page says which address takes which appointment. Do not guess: the address on your confirmation is the one that expects you.
04Your confirmation, line by line
Four details matter on it: the office with its street address, the day and hour, the procedure you picked, and a booking code. Check the address first, then the procedure, then your name as it appears in your passport.
policia.es publishes no opening hours for either police address, so the time printed on the confirmation is your time. Be there a few minutes before it, with the confirmation in hand, printed or on screen.
05No free dates on screen?
New dates come up now and then, and they are taken fast. Look again at other times of day and on other weekdays. With a complete folder, you can accept a date the moment it appears. We search with you, and check your papers while we search.
Questions on this sample
Cita previa NIE Castellón: does the booking cost anything?
No, the official booking website is free. What you pay the State is the Modelo 790 código 012, and it covers the procedure itself; the booking stays free.
I live in Benicàssim. Which province do I select?
Castellón. The booking works by province, so the towns of the province book on the same screen as the city.
Can I phone the police for an appointment?
No: the booking itself is made on the website. policia.es does give a phone number for each address, 964 231 658 for Plaza Teodoro Izquierdo and 964 469 500 for Calle Río Sella.
I chose the wrong procedure. What now?
Cancel it with your code on the booking website, so the slot goes to someone else, and book the right one.
